About

This blog is mostly about the absurdity of the left in the United States and Europe. Many posts concern the cultural and political side of military affairs, from the perspective of twenty-three years as an infantry and intelligence officer in the U.S. Army, and the belief that America's armed forces remain the single greatest force for good that ever was. Occasionally, I write about phenomenon like complexity, emergence and the science of networks, and how those concepts shape military art.

The proper response to today's reigning pieties and institutional imbecility is ridicule. Thus, I've adopted a heavily sarcastic style in surveying the shenanigans of a political class that is neither liberal, nor progressive, in the classical meaning of those terms.

I commented on another blog that the greatest trick the left ever pulled was to make its agenda seem inevitable. This blog, and thousands like it, are not fooled.
